Designed to be used in the classroom, other educational settings or at home and inspired by Fair Isle strawback chairs, ‘Knotted Baskets’, created by weaver Eve Eunson, invites you to make your own basket using the same knotting and binding technique – now a critically endangered craft.
This activity will take around three hours and is split into two sessions. Try it in rope or paper!
A part of MAKE Learn Pilot Project for Schools, exploring meaningful engagement with materials, encouraging craft making and experimentation – aimed at P5-7 children within local authority primary schools across Glasgow and the Isle of Bute.
